This Is Me

My Story
Hello I'm Ashley, an Ohio native, who fled to South Florida to discover myself and life without basketball. Relocating has been the best decision for me to prepare for the next chapters of my life.
I was a student-athlete at Bowling Green State University where I also obtained my Bachelors of Applied Health Science. After graduation, I was promised the opportunity to play professional basketball based on my skill level, great work ethic, and connections with certified agents to help me make my dreams of becoming a professional athlete possible. But those promises were broken and on top of that I had a bad agent. But my positive look on life and family support reminded me that everything happens for a reason and to always have a backup plan. So I had to start planning my life without basketball and I believe I made the best decision for me.
I made the decision to move to Fort Lauderdale, FL to go back to school after spending a little over a year trying to become a professional athlete and to get a fresh start on life. I'm currently attending Nova Southeastern University, where I'm pursuing my MBA with a concentration in Marketing. This move has been nothing but a blessing for me having the opportunity to learn about myself, meeting some great people, and taking on some new adventures.
